FAQ
What materials are used in the lantern installations?
Each lantern installation we create begins with a structural steel wire and pipe framework. Energy-efficient LED bulbs and LED strips are installed within the frame as the primary light source. The structure is then carefully wrapped in high-quality silk fabric—most commonly satin—before being hand-painted to achieve intricate detailing and vibrant color finishes.
Are the lantern installations waterproof?
Yes. All electrical components—including cables, connectors, switches, and lighting elements—are rated IP65, ensuring reliable protection against rain and outdoor environmental conditions.
How do the installations perform in strong winds?
Our lantern installations are engineered to withstand wind loads up to Level 6 (Beaufort scale). Wind resistance is carefully considered during the design and construction process. Installations are typically positioned in naturally sheltered or protected areas to minimize wind exposure. For larger structures placed in open environments or those with higher centers of gravity, we utilize reinforced ground anchoring systems and tension supports to ensure structural stability. In rare cases of extreme weather conditions, select taller structures may be temporarily dismantled as a precautionary safety measure.
How long does the walkthrough experience typically take?
To create an engaging and well-paced visitor journey, lantern installations are arranged along a curated trail throughout the venue. Based on over two decades of production experience, we recommend a walkthrough duration of approximately 25 to 45 minutes—long enough to deliver strong perceived value while maintaining visitor flow and engagement.
What should be considered when selecting a location?
An ideal venue features a natural landscape—such as lawns, trees, and garden settings—that complements the installations. Water elements, including lakes, ponds, or riversides, are particularly desirable, as they create striking reflections that enhance the visual impact and elevate the overall nighttime atmosphere.
